Background
I received a Master of Health Administration at Hofstra University and my undergraduate degree at Sarah Lawrence College. I have been certified by Cornell as a wellness counselor, INELDA as an end-of-life doula, David Kessler as a grief educator and I earned a Gerontology Certification from the University of Southern California.
My professional experience includes a diverse range of expertise in the development and implementation of educational and service-oriented initiatives for geriatric, end-of-life, and general patient populations, as well as in academia.
In addition to my work with individuals and organizations, I have designed site-specific, sustainable patient and family programs with hospitals including Long Island Jewish Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital, Florida Hospital, and NYU Winthrop Hospital. I have worked to train hospital staff in service excellence techniques, team-building strategies, and patient-centered models of care.
I am listed as provider on the Grief Support Center Network which can be reached at: https://www.griefsupportcenter.com
